We now have some fantastic, eco-friendly options such as wood, bamboo, blended fabrics and biodegradable composites. Remember this, when you are choosing your next domestic item. If you think outside the box, you might be surprised by some stylish and practical, non-plastic alternatives.

Recycle, recycle, recycle
There will surely come a time when you definitely don’t need a plastic item any more. You might think that it’s time to throw it in the dustbin and invest in something new. Hold it right there! What about finding a way to recycle your unwanted plastic waste items? There may be a local playgroup leader who would be delighted to accept unwanted toys. Take your bags to a charity shop, and your gadgets to an electronics repair and recycling unit.
