Ironing out our Ironing Board and Cover Collection
Sometimes the best changes are the ones you don’t see. With its latest Ironing Board collection, Brabantia proves that doing good, and good design can go hand in hand—seamlessly. The biggest update? Every Brabantia Ironing Board Cover is now made with 100% Fairtrade cotton. A small change for you, but a big step toward a fairer world. Available now.
Better future for farmers? Covered!
Not too big on ironing? The new Brabantia Ironing Board Covers made with 100% Fairtrade cotton will make even this chore more pleasant. These feel-good covers are durable and work great for both regular irons and steam irons. The cover is always taut thanks to the cord binder and Stretch-System. Even better: all of the cotton is Fairtrade certified, traded, audited and sourced from Fairtrade producers. Fairtrade means fairer trading conditions and opportunities for cotton farmers and encourages sustainable cotton production. Fairtrade works with farmers to stop or reduce the usage of agrochemicals and supports them to adapt to changing climate patterns.
The improved Brabantia Ironing Board Covers are available now on all Brabantia Ironing Board models - Sleeve Boards and Ironing Blankets included. Also available as a separate replacement cover, as a Top Layer only or Complete Set of a fresh new ironing board cover and thick underlay. Use the colour code to find the right size with ease.
“At Brabantia, we are committed to making a positive difference for people and planet. That is why all of the cotton in all of our Ironing Board Covers is now Fairtrade certified, traded, audited and sourced from Fairtrade producers. Yet tradeanother step towards a fairer, more sustainable, and ethical world. And by buying (an ironing board with) this cover, you are helping too!” - Lauren Roelofs, category manager Laundry Caring.
Size matters
There was and is a Brabantia ironing board for everyone; whether you iron just some things or big loads, and whether you use a steam iron or a steam generator. Short on space? Choose an A-sized board – with an ironing surface of 110 x 30 cm, it is large enough to cover your ironing needs, and small enough to leave you some room to manoeuvre. Need more room? The Comfort B (124 x 38 cm) and the XL Comfort C (124 x 45 cm), are perfect for tackling large garments or sheets. Or go for XL ironing space with the Premium D (135 x 45 cm). To suit every ironing need, the collection features four iron rests (Steam Iron Rest, Solid Steam Iron Rest, Solid Steam Unit Holder, and a Heat-resistant Parking Zone). The frames come in black and white, and they’re built to last—each board comes with a 10-year guarantee. Furthermore, attention to sustainability is built into every detail, with 40% of the steel coming from recycled materials and Cradle-to-Cradle® certifications at bronze or silver levels.
Ironing may not be everyone’s favourite chore but gets a little better knowing your Brabantia board is making a difference. With silver Cradle to Cradle® certification and covers with Fairtrade cotton, Brabantia Ironing Boards are doing just that. And of course, every ironing board still comes with a 10-year guarantee, while covers are backed by a 2-year guarantee. The Ironing Boards and Covers are available now at leading online household stores, retailers and the Brabantia website. WHAT IS FAIRTRADE?
Fairtrade changes the way trade works through better prices, decent working conditions and a fairer deal for farmers and workers in Africa, Asia and Latin-America. Their approach enables farmers and workers to have more control over their lives and decide how to invest in their future. All of the cotton in Brabantia ironing covers is Fairtrade certified. This empowers cotton farmers and workers to enhance their living standards, invest in their communities and businesses and protect our shared environment. Visit www.info.fairtrade.net
